Belgian Law: Requires Fiscal Data Module (FDM) for tax compliance

In Belgium, companies that process electronic payments are legally obliged to use a certified POS system and a "Fiscal Data Module" (FDM). The FDM, also known as "Black Box", "Zwarte Doos" or "Boîte Noire", plays a central role in the collection and transmission of transaction data to the tax authority in real time. The aim is to combat tax fraud and make financial activities more transparent.

Certified Fiscal Data Module (FDM): Companies must integrate a certified FDM into their POS systems to be SCE 2.0 compliant.
