ISCA Compliance in France

ISCA compliance was introduced in France in January 2018 to ensure the tamper-proof nature of POS systems and to prevent tax evasion. Find out here what ISCA means, what requirements exist and how efsta helps you to meet them.

Features of ISCA Compliance

ISCA compliance stipulates that POS systems must record all tax-relevant data in a tamper-proof and unchangeable manner. This guarantees the integrity of the transactions and offers protection against manipulation.

Requirements for POS systems according to ISCA

ISCA compliance ensures that POS systems are designed in such a way that subsequent changes to the recorded data are not possible. Once recorded, transactions must not be deleted or changed to ensure immutability.

All tax-relevant data must be securely archived and kept available for future audits. In addition, there is a certification requirement: the POS systems must either be certified or the manufacturer must confirm their conformity in order to meet the legal requirements.
