Contact consultantThe law on the registration of sales was introduced in the Czech Republic in several phases. Different deadlines applied to companies from different sectors for the conversion of cash register systems or electronic recording systems to "EET" (Elektronická evidence tržeb).
The EET system was introduced to combat tax evasion and ensure tax honesty among businesses. The law on the registration of sales in the Czech Republic was introduced in several phases to gradually integrate various industries into the EET system (Electronic Registration of Sales).
Phase 1 from December 1, 2016 for the HORECA segment (hotels, restaurants, cafes and gas stations)
Phase 2 from March 1, 2017 for retail and wholesale
Phase 3 from March 1, 2018 for all other professional groups, with the exception of freelancers, transportation, and agricultural businesses - Phase 3 was postponed indefinitely in 2018.
Phase 4 from June 1, 2018 for freelancers, transportation, and agricultural businesses - Phase 4 was also postponed indefinitely in 2018.
In the EET system, POS systems must transmit all transaction data (receipt data) directly to the tax authorities.
The tax authorities' servers confirm the receipts using a unique code (FIK - Fiscal Identification Code).
Companies must issue receipts (including the FIK) to customers.
In order to participate in the EET system, companies must register in the EET portal of the Czech tax authorities.
Our collaboration offers you the decisive advantage of professionally and efficiently managing the challenges associated with the EET system in the Czech Republic by providing you with comprehensive support in complying with regulatory requirements.
