In your role as a hands-on lead, you’ll actively work on the code and help your team grow in a targeted way.

Together with the CTO, you will shape our technological direction and build structures that scale with our growth. You will take ownership, make clear decisions, and ensure that our strategy is consistently translated into results.

You’ll work with a small, dynamic team that you’ll gradually expand—bringing together technical expertise, strong leadership, and a keen understanding of people.

Full-time

Salary: starting at €80,000 gross per year (depending on qualifications and experience; we are willing to offer a significantly higher salary)

Your tasks

Overall responsibility for our software development (strategic and operational)
Budgetary responsibility for the division, in consultation with the CTO
Technical and managerial leadership of the development team (currently 6 people)
Responsibility for prioritization and decision-making regarding the product and technology roadmap
Ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and timely implementation of software projects
Responsibility for quality, architecture, and the entire development lifecycle (including release and operations)
Close collaboration with C-level executives, product management, and other stakeholders
Defining relevant KPIs and identifying specific actions for further development
First point of contact for technical issues
Actively driving AI transformation in development (e.g., coding assistants, agent workflows, automation), including empowering the team through standards, best practices, and coaching

Your qualifications

Several years of experience in software development (at least 4 years required)
Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (ideally with Node.js, and optionally with modern front-end frameworks)
Proven experience in leading development teams (at least 2 years) is required
The ability to make clear decisions and to consistently assume and delegate responsibility within the team
Strong social skills, empathy, and assertiveness
A hands-on approach and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
Strong proficiency in AI and hands-on experience with modern AI-powered developer tools (e.g., coding assistants, agents/agent teams, prompting), as well as the ability to effectively integrate these workflows into the team
Ideally, experience with cloud environments (e.g., Azure)
Fluency in German and English
Limited willingness to travel, up to a maximum of 10%
